Staff Guide: Lending Promotion

We're kicking off a new campaign to highlight three key lending-related products: Guaranteed Asset Protection (G.A.P.), Route 66 Extended Warranty, and TruStage™ Auto Insurance. These services provide essential protection for our members' most valuable assets and give them peace of mind. Now, we're asking for your help to spread the word so even more members can benefit from these valuable offerings.

Campaign Overview

This campaign will primarily leverage digital and in-branch strategies to educate and engage our members about the benefits of G.A.P., Route 66 Extended Warranty, and TruStage™ insurance.

Campaign Targets

Our primary audience for these promotions includes:

  • Existing Members: Especially those with an auto loan.

  • Potential Members: Individuals considering a new auto loan or refinancing.

Key Promotion Details
What Are These Products?
  • G.A.P. (Guaranteed Asset Protection):

    • What it is: G.A.P. is a loan protection product that covers the difference between what a member owes on their vehicle loan and what their insurance company pays if the vehicle is totaled or stolen.

    • Why it's important: In a total loss event, a member could be left with a substantial debt. G.A.P. covers this "gap," protecting their finances.

  • Route 66 Extended Warranty:

    • What it is: An extended vehicle warranty that provides mechanical breakdown coverage beyond the manufacturer's warranty.

    • Why it's important: It protects members from the high cost of unexpected vehicle repairs, which can be thousands of dollars. It’s also often more affordable and comprehensive than a dealership's extended warranty.

  • TruStage™ Auto & Home Insurance:

    • What it is: A comprehensive insurance program for credit union members, offering competitive rates on auto and home insurance.

    • Why it's important: It provides reliable coverage and is exclusively available to credit union members, often leading to better rates and discounts.

Why Should Members Consider Them?

These products are not just add-ons; they are smart financial decisions that offer peace of mind. By bundling these with their loans and accounts, members can protect their assets and their financial well-being.

  • Peace of mind: Members can drive confidently knowing they are protected from financial hardship in the event of an accident or unexpected repair.

  • Cost Savings: TruStage™ can save members money on their premiums, while G.A.P. and Route 66 can save them thousands of dollars in a total loss or major repair scenario.

  • Convenience: These products are easy to add to a new loan. (Warrenties can be purchased from us, even if the member didn't finance with us!).

Help Us Spread the Word

Your role is to inform members about these valuable services. When speaking with members about auto loans, mention how G.A.P., Route 66, and TruStage™ can help them save money and protect their assets. Direct them to the teller cards, flyers, or our website.
